Akademi Samaachara

In order to inform poets, writers, literary figures and literature lovers in detail about the programs, publications and other activities of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi, a decision was taken in the Akademi Executive Council meeting held on 20.10.1992 to publish the Akademi Samara every three months. As per that decision, the first issue of Akademi Samara was published on 25th August 1993 in the form of a 36-page booklet. Earlier, it was first published in the ‘Akademi Samara’ column in the 5th year 1st issue of the ‘Konark’ magazine in 1970, in which various activities of the Akademi were included. A few years later, i.e. in the 27th issue of Konark published in 1974, the Akademi Samara was published under the title ‘Sahitya Bhasma’. Again, in the 29th issue of Konark in 1975, it was published again in the ‘Akademi Samara’ column. But it appeared irregularly in the magazine 'Konark'. Then, as per the decision, it started from 2005-06 and has been published regularly every year in January, April, July and early October. In addition to all the programs of the Odisha Sahitya Akademi, other literature-related news is published in it. Since this news is dedicated to literature, this colorful magazine is seen to be gaining special respect from innumerable poets, writers and eminent organizers of Odisha.
